What a better place to go shag the night away than the Folly Beach Pier. Charleston, South Carolina, the original state of beach music, knows how to throw a dance party, hence its history of gatherings at the Folly Beach Pier.
DJ Rob Duren will heat up the dance floor spinning the hottest beach music and oldies. Frosty beverages and low country food will be available on premise. Please bring proper ID for purchase of beer, wine, and cocktails.

Animal Lovers Run, Walk for Pet Helpers This Weekend on Folly Beach
Thursday, September 9th, 2010Saturday, September 11, runners, walkers, health enthusiasts, and animal lovers will come out to show their support for Pet Helpers in honor of Leslie McCravy by either running or walking in Pet Helpers’ 2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk. The race raised more than $17,000 in 2010, the inaugural year.
This year’s event will again be held on Folly Beach, and the Start/Finish Line will be at the Edwin S. Taylor Fishing Pier. Last year’s male overall winner with the time of 16:33 was ABC News 4’s own Weekend Meteorologist, Neville Miller, who also emceed the event with fellow Channel 4 Meteorologist, Dave Williams. Sopagna Eap of Johns Island won the women’s overall with a time of 17:38. Both Neville Miller and Dave Williams will be returning to emcee the race this year.Race applications can be found online at www.pethelpers.org and on www.active.com. Pet Helpers is also seeking sponsors, donors and volunteers to help make this year’s event successful. Sponsorship and donor information can also be found online at the Pet Helpers website.
